BankVic has joined the Customer Owned Banking Association (COBA).

As the industry association for customer-owned financial institutions, COBA’s vision is to help more Australians benefit from banking that’s centered on people and communities. This is closely aligned to BankVic's purpose to strengthen the communities we serve as the as the bank for police, emergency and health services.

BankVic's CEO Anthony De Fazio said We're thrilled to be part of the industry association for customer-owned banks. Our membership reflects our longstanding commitment to making banking easier and more accessible for those who serve and protect our communities.”

As part of our membership, BankVic has adopted the Customer Owned Banking Code of Practice, a comprehensive framework, setting out the highest standards of banking practice. BankVic has demonstrated compliance with the code’s requirements which are based on seven key promises:

  1. We will deliver banking services in the interests of our customers.
  2. We will obey the law.
  3. We will not mislead or deceive.
  4. We will act honestly and fairly.
  5. We will offer products and services that are fit for general purpose.
  6. We will deliver services with reasonable care and skill.
